With all powers in hand, Pakistan Peoples Party feels dictator was right

Pakistan People Party's (PPP) government, which was keeping everyone (including her own vote bank) in the dark, now decided to reveal her true intentions openly on the issue of independent judiciary. Law minister and Attorney General, the top offices of legal affairs & matters in the country, clearly declared in the media leaving no doubts in anyone's mind, that they will not accept Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry as the Chief Justice of Pakistan. Justice Iftikhar was forcefully and unlawfully kept out of the office on the orders of the dictator Musharraf, and unfortunately, even after the ouster of Musharraf, still not given the official protocol till this date.

To prove the constitutionality of the present de-facto Chief Justice, Attorney General (AG) went to the extent that he declared Ex-dictator Musharraf the constitutional president of Pakistan. In Musharraf's era, AG provided a very strong opposition to his rule.

Looking at the present political moves of the PPP's leadership, it can be easily noticed how lust of power made the persons switch their positions.  But, One should remember it is the treacherous lust of power that ultimately brings about the ruler's downfall.

Constitutionally elected but de-facto president

Asif Ali Zardari took oath for the office of the President of Pakistan. Article 42 of the Pakistani constitution clearly states the Chief justice of Pakistan the only authority to administer such oath. But, the person seen administering oath to zardari in the picture below, isn't the constitutional Chief Justice of Pakistan.

So, here we go, moving from one dilemma into another, where we have a constitutionally elected de-facto president.
